Observer Program

Observer Agenda

We want to make the AIM 2010 an unforgettable event for everyone and so we will have an extra programme for Observer. We will try to explain what an AIM is and how it works, but we will also organize workshops and discussions about themes relating to our tagline “Breaking down Walls”.

Please expect the a draft workshop agenda here in April 2010.

Observer Agenda

Since lots of observers registered for AIM 2010 the staff would like to give special guidance to observers. On arrival day after dinner we would like to meet all observers in the Auditorium to give you an overview about AIMs, this AIM and the site. Please join us. Further we would like to meet you every morning at 8:45 to explain what is going on that day. This should provide you a choice to select the sessions you'd like to take part in.

Theme

The AIM Staff has chosen 'Breaking Down Walls' as theme for this AIM. Several of you have indicated that they would like to take the Berlin Wall Tour. In order to prepare you for this, the AIM Staff is organizing two evening session as part of the parallel sessions. On the 6th of August we have a session on how the wall was built, on the 7th of August we offer a session on how the wall came down.

Diversity

This year's focus area of CISV is Diversity. The AIM is supporting this focus area in several ways. One is the AIM Tour 'Multicultural Facettes of Kreuzberg' which reflects diverse cultural backgrounds forming our current society, its difficulties and benefits.

Open Day

We would like to use the opportunity of having an AIM in Germany to introduce the CISV's work on international level to our members here in Germany. We expect up to 20 visitors on that day. Download the Information Flyer in German.
